dc.description.abstract | This paper introduces a proposed method for hybrid 2D wavelet transform, and applies this method on the field of lossless image compression method. Wavelets in 2D or higher dimensions are often generated by a decomposition scheme from 1D wavelets. There are two decomposition schemes; the standard (rectangular) and the nonstandard (square) decomposition.
