Abstract: The present research involved a systematic study for the gross morphology, ecology and geographical distribution for the new record Nepeta meyeri Benth. belonging Labiatae (Lamiaceae), All the plant parts were studied from roots, stem, petiole,blade,inflorescence,flowers,fruits ending with seeds. Ecology and soil quality of these plants were determined and theirgeographical distribution on natural Iraqi districts was done. This species was a new record for flora of Iraq.
