dc.description.abstractWe have studied the effect of gamma irradiation by three doses (17.64, 35.28 and 52.92 Rad) on optical transmittance, reflectance, absorption coefficient, energy gap , refractive index and the extinction coefficient for (Mn2O3)1-x (CuO)x with (x=0.5) thin films which were prepared on glass substrates by chemical pyrolysis technique. From the analysis of the absorption and transmission spectra in the wavelength range (300-900 nm) we found that the irradiation changes the optical properties under investigation in this study. The results show that the energy gap (Eg) increase with increasing of radiation dose .en_US
