| dc.description.abstract | This research deals with artificial intelligence and its role in facilitating the transfer of politeness strategies across different cultures. It also deals with communicative language teaching (CLT) and its role in emphasizing interpersonal communication and pragmatic knowledge among EFL learners who learn English as a foreign language (EFL) learners. The research focuses on the politeness theory to explain the topic of interpersonal communication as a basic process of sharing and exchanging information and ideas among human beings. So, Artificial Intelligence is concerned with making a computer behaves like humans to do the tasks that are done physically to be performed electronically through the internet. Artificial intelligence is one of the advanced tools that appeared in contemporary society that makes communication easier and more effective than ever before and influences not only linguistic choices but also cultural aspects and thinking patterns whenever individuals engage with this technology. The advent of digital communication technologies influences politeness. Facebook, email, text messaging, chat rooms, blogs, and computer-mediated communication (CMC) introduce novel forms of interaction. The results indicate a marked change among EFL learners engaged with online learning platforms compared to students in traditional learning environments because a shift in politeness strategies and the use of AI prove their useful value in language learning and reduce psychological stress. In the methodological part, this research scrutinizes the link between open AI's chatbots and the adoption of politeness strategies. Quantitative analysis of supplementary data indicated significant increase in the application of politeness strategies, with participants exhibiting a clear preference for negative politeness in their face- to- face exchanges. Artificial intelligence(AI) technology and communication are currently connected, with AI serving as a mentor for a new style of polite communication.
